Things might look chill on-screen, but word is there’s some serious side-eye happening behind the scenes at NCIS. Two of the show’s big names, who act all buddy-buddy for the cameras, are reportedly clashing harder than a season finale plot twist. Ever since the show’s power shift, both have allegedly been gunning for more screen time and top-dog status. Sure, they keep it professional where it counts, but fans are starting to clock the weird vibes.
Is it just smoke, or is there some spicy behind-the-scenes beef cooking? Either way, this alleged feud’s got more drama than a double homicide case.
Is Sean Murray’s NCIS feud with Wilmer Valderrama for real?

There’s been buzz on the NCIS set, rumor has it, Sean Murray and Wilmer Valderrama aren’t exactly the best of friends behind the scenes. While the two actors portray friends Agent McGee and Nick Torres, sources suggest there’s a subtle but real tension between them. An insider revealed (via Express),
There’s no denying Mark’s departure gave their characters room to grow. But you now have two actors who think they should be the star of the show. Wilmer considers himself the primary star, but Sean has a bone to pick with that.
Sean likes to rub it in Wilmer’s face that he’s got higher billing in the credits. Wilmer’s working to change that…They may claim to be buds in public, but they tend to annoy each other behind the scenes.
Murray, who’s been with NCIS since 2003, has seen his fair share of changes on the show. With the departure of Mark Harmon, McGee’s role has grown, but apparently, both Murray and Valderrama now think they should be the show’s biggest star.
Off-screen drama aside, Murray has always been a fixture in NCIS, and his story’s pretty wild. From his first major role as Thackery Binx in Hocus Pocus to his rise in TV with ER and JAG, Murray’s career has had quite a journey.
His family ties – even more interesting. His stepdad, Donald P. Bellisario, is the genius behind NCIS and other hit shows like Magnum PI.
Sean Murray drops a twist in McGee’s Laroche investigation ahead of the NCIS season 22 finale

McGee’s hunt for Laroche hits a whole new level in NCIS Season 22, Episode 19, Irreconcilable Differences. He’s straight-up channeling Gibbs, decked out like him, pouring drinks like him while digging deep into Laroche’s dirty secrets. But just when McGee thinks he’s cracked it, bam, Laroche shoots him in a dream sequence.
McGee doesn’t back down, though. He tracks Laroche to an abandoned power plant, gets hit by a truck, but still insists he saw a murder. Things only get messier when McGee’s slapped with accusations, with Laroche pulling all the strings. Just when it seems like McGee’s cornered, he leaves a note: “Rule #45.”
No way he’s giving up the fight now. The plot thickens, and McGee’s hunt is far from over.
NCIS is currently available on Hulu & Apple TV+.
